Talanx, a German company, announced on Saturday that it has successfully completed the purchase of Liberty Mutual Insurance’s operations in Latin America for approximately 1.38 billion euros ($1.52 billion) via its subsidiary, HDI International.
The acquisition specifically includes Liberty’s retail business in prominent Latin American countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador. Talanx expressed its anticipation that the transaction will be finalized within the first six months of 2024.
